| Description: |
| This is
a small, stocky african parrot of about nine inches.
It has a rich green tail and wings and a golden breast
which is cut into by a V-shaped green area. Head has a
brownish grey color cover. The senegal is a quite
bird, this species is the perfect little bird if noise
is a factor. This species has a reputation of being
charming little parrots and are about as docile as a
parrot could be. This small but active bird is great
for the beginner or seasoned bird owner. They seem to
love all people in the family but do not be surprised
if they seem to take to one person, they are
intelligent. Talking ability is not great but some are
talented more than others, but one cannot expect much
as far as talking goes. These charming creatures are
much more than that. For the beginner its great. But
we have many customers that have had all kinds of
birds their whole life and still say they "Love
Their Senegal".
