TNT Internet Express, Inc.

.... bringing the world to your desktop

When you try to receive email, does a window pop up asking for your username and password?  If so, take a look at the username listed in the window.  Your username/account name must have @tntie.com on the end of it.  Your email login must include your entire email address and the password.

The incoming mail server name should be:     pop.tntie.com

The outgoing mail server name should be:      smtp.tntie.com

The line that reads "my server requires authentication" must be checked in Outlook Express, etc.

Our email server scans all incoming and outgoing messages for a virus.  What does this mean for TNT users?

1)  Our server helps prevent your computer from getting a virus.  The server is currently blocking over 99% of the email messages containing a virus.

2)  If someone tells you that they are sending you email but you never receive it, their computer may be infected with a virus.  This is assuming that they have your correct email address and that their Internet Service Provider's email server actually sent the message to TNTIE's email server.  If our email server receives a message with your correct email address, that does not contain a virus, it cannot do anything other that put that message into your mailbox.

3)  If you are having problems sending email, but your email settings are correct, your computer may have a virus.
